Kalanchoe Pinnata

Kalanchoe pinnata, also known as “air plant,” “life plant,” or “miracle leaf,” is a succulent plant native to Madagascar that has a complex earthy flavor. It has been traditionally used by the local population of Madagascar, in a variety of different ways, including drying the leaves and mixing them with hot water to aid in digestion, back pain, oral health, stress, and aid the immune system. Kalanchoe pinnata was also processed into gel form to help treat minor burns, cuts, insect bites, and skin irritations. Extracts have been studied as being a possibility for use in cancer treatment.
